    We are growing! We are staffing our newest plant in Verbena, AL and are looking for individuals who want to grow with us!

     

    Foley Materials Company mines and sells aggregates like sand, gravel and railroad ballast to locations throughout the southeast. With plants in Georgia and Alabama we are excited to add our newest plant in Verbena, AL.

     

    Position - Haul Truck Operator - Off Highway

    Responsibilties:

    + Safely operate a haul truck and other heavy equipment within company guidelines and safety standards

    + Follow Company and regulatory safety/environmental rules and regulations

    + Safely operator off highway haul truck and other heavy equipment as needed to move raw materials throughout the plant in a safe and efficient manner.

    + Perform daily equipment inspections to identify any mechanical or unsafe conditions to be addressed

    + Clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary. Notify management of all damaged or unsafe equipment.

    + Maintain good housekeeping of equipment

    + Other duties as assigned

    Required Experience:

    What You Need:

    + Have experience safely operating a haul truck to move material. Six months’ experience preferred.

    + Experience operating other heavy equipment preferred - rock truck, packer, rubber tire backhoe, dozer, excavator (Caterpillar, Hitachi, John Deer and/or Komatsu mini-50’s to 800’s), and single motor scraper.

    + Sound understanding of safety regulations, safe work practices and work procedures and be capable of assisting in maintaining safe work sites.

    + Good vision and spatial ability.

    + Good eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity.

    + Physical strength and stamina.

    + Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    + Basic small hand and power tool knowledge is considered an asset.

    + Previous sand/gravel mining experience is a plus

    + Ability to work in all types of weather, this position is exposed to heat and cold depending on the season.
