Description
Sara Walker with Robert Half is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Forest Grove, Oregon. This role is vital in fostering a safe and compliant workplace while ensuring employees are well-trained and engaged. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in environmental safety, employee training, and human resources practices to support our operations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct investigations into workplace incidents and implement corrective measures to improve safety.
• Lead emergency preparedness initiatives, including drills and response planning.
• Manage and maintain accurate employee training records, ensuring all staff meet required certifications.
• Oversee onboarding procedures and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
• Support Workers’ Compensation case management, including tracking and reporting.
• Facilitate employee engagement programs to promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure safety practices are upheld in both office and floor environments.
• Utilize training platforms to deliver effective learning programs and monitor their success.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, occupational safety, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with training platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and workplace audits.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on attention to detail.
• Certifications such as OSHA 30, HazWoper, or NIMS (100–800) are highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in both office settings and production floor environments.
• Proven track record of managing compliance and safety programs successfully.
