    Please review the following job description:

    Responsible for managing strategic and tactical aspects of assigned product portfolio as it relates to meeting the needs of targeted markets and strategic goals. Responsible for managing the product lifecycle processes (e.g. ideation, development, management, marketing, communication, commercialization, profitability, sales support strategies) and ongoing risk management. Plan, promote, manage and coordinate activities for assigned product portfolio and ensure synergy with related product line managers to ensure product line objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and parameters.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

     

    1. Responsible for managing, promoting, directing and controlling the Consumer Faster Payments product portfolio, which includes but is not limited to the following duties:

    a. Establish product portfolio direction for existing products, including product line extensions and additional target markets;

    b. Champion Marketing/promotion of product line with Portfolio Optimization team;

    c. Support and train Community Bank and sales team;

    d. Collaborate sales channel strategies with Distribution and Delivery teams;

    e. Track revenue and margin;

    f. Initiate measures for product cost containment and cost reduction;

    g. Track industry trends, product segment growth and market share;

    h. Ensure synergy and cohesive approach to execution and communication by team members to support the overall product family objectives.

    i. Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap

    j. Actively participate and represent Truist in industry committees and workgroups as needed, including, but not limited to Zelle, TCH RTP, etc.

    2. Develop and manage product line strategic direction through ongoing assessment of current products, pricing and position. Systematically develop and evaluate opportunities for new products and/or line extensions and identify new target markets and related strategies.

    3. Lead development, execution, and maintenance of product and product family business plan that provide current market information, including sales and gross profit margin history, year to date actuals and projections, key market position, sales channels and competitive strategies, pricing, market share, and product lifecycle and evolution plans.

    4. Lead development and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual product line update reports.

    5. Initiate and encourage continuous process improvement by developing ways to assess and maximize opportunities for change.

    6. Establish clear pricing strategies, discount structures, and guidelines for all sales channels and target markets; analyze market data, competitive data, segment data, revenue/cost/profitability data and product/product line strategy.

    7. Lead development of volume forecasts based on historical trends, market environment, business plan and pricing strategy impacts.

    8. Lead prioritization of development and promotional projects for product line.

    9. Participate in development of all marketing collateral, including website pages, product releases, brochures, video (establish sales promotions and special incentive programs).

    10. Maintain awareness of the competition and other market forces affecting the product line, through effective networking and research. Provide key competitive information and product comparisons to designated resources for publication.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training

    2. Eight years of experience in a financial services or consulting firm, working on teams with responsibility for strategic planning, product management, sales force effectiveness and industry analysis

    3. Strong product management, design and development skills

    4. Equal enthusiasm for high-level strategic planning and tactical daily execution

    5. Strong leadership and management skills

    6. Ability to interact with senior management and clients

    7. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, organization and time-management skills

    8. Superior influencing, negotiating and conflict management skills

    9. Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues

    10. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

    11. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

    1. MBA or Masters of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems

    2. Creative problem solver, demonstrated research skills

    3. Ability to create strong strategic plans and business cases for new opportunities

    4. Ability to synthesize complex information and to communicate effectively with associates at all levels

    5. Self-starter, energetic, high level of emotional maturity
