    Required Skills:

    Data Scientist, Small Business Group Responsibilities:

    1. Take advantage of massive amounts of structured data to understand how our customers interact with our product and service offerings.

    2. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the experience of businesses on the Meta family of apps using data science.

    3. Lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of projects from data requirement gathering to data processing, modeling, and recommendations.

    4. Partner with cross functional teams to identify new opportunities requiring the use of modern analytical and modeling techniques.

    5. Design and execute experiments (e.g., A/B testing, multi-armed bandit).

    6. Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to business leads and influence strategic decision-making.

    7. Frequently switch between on-the-ground tactical execution and 30k foot strategy.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    8. Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

    9. Requires 6 months of experience involving the following:

    10. 1. Machine Learning techniques 2. Relational databases (SQL or PL*SQL)

    11. 3. Developing in scripting language: PHP, Python, or Perl

    12. 4. Statistical Analysis using R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, or Stata

    13. 5. Quantitative analysis techniques – clustering, regression, pattern recognition or descriptive and inferential statistics and

    14. 6. Communicating and presenting results of data analyses

    Public Compensation:

    $218,284/year to $235,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits
