    Required Skills:

    Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

    1. Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

    2. Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area.

    3. Work with team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategy.

    4. Work on issues of diverse scope, and drive roadmap creation and execution.

    5. Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level.

    6. Participate in technical design.

    7. Measure the impact of team and set clear expectations and goals.

    8. Manage, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of the team with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.

    9. Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.

    10. Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization.

    11. Number of direct reports may vary.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    12. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 60 months of experience in the following:

    13. 1. Software engineering work experience including hands-on technical management building infrastructure core components

    14. 2. Coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Javascript, Python, or PHP

    15. 3. Recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management

    16. 4. Architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services

    17. 5. Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager

    18. 6. Building products including front end technologies or backend systems

    19. 7. Unix or Linux

    20. 8. Large-scale Internet service architectures (load balancing, LAMP, or CDN's)

    21. 9. Designing and developing distributed systems, storage systems, or cache and data distribution infrastructure

    22. 10. Scaling high performance, high throughput systems

    23. 11. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems

    24. 12. Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams

    25. 13. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions

    26. 14. Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth.

    Public Compensation:

    $268,492/year to $290,180/year + bonus + equity + benefits
