    Job Description

    This is a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity with a major global enterprise operating in the entertainment and media space. They’re currently seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer to join their high-impact platform team working on scalable backend systems, APIs, and serverless cloud infrastructure.

    **Contract Duration** : 6 months

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 5+ years of backend software development experience using Python

    • Experience with RESTful APIs and Microservices

    • Deep familiarity with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, SQS, etc.)

    • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases

    • Experience designing and deploying serverless applications

    • Solid grasp of object-oriented and functional programming principles

    • Understanding of microservice architecture, event-driven design, and distributed systems

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Experience with container platforms like Docker or Kubernetes

    • Comfort with architectural system design

    • Familiarity with message-based systems like Kinesis or Kafka

    • Excellent debugging, optimization, and system-level thinking

    • Exposure to high-traffic, low-latency application environments
