    *_Position Summary:_*

     

    Functions in collaboration with qualified physicians to provide medical services to Family Care Center customers.

     

    *_Training and Continued Education_*

    *_Minimum Education_*

    Nurse Practitioner:

    * Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner’s training program and hold current license as a Nurse Practitioner with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.

    Physician Assistant:

    * Successful completion of a Physician's Assistant training program and hold current license as a Physician's Assistant with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.

    *_Required Licenses_*

    Nurse Practitioner:

    * Current NP license required BLS required.

    * Family Care and Urgent Care providers must obtain DOT Physical Certification within one year of hire.

    * Must possess a working knowledge of medication use and administration.

    Physician Assistant:

    * Current PA license required.

    * BLS required within 30 days of hire.

    * Must possess a working knowledge of medication use and administration.

    * Experience documenting in an electronic medical record highly recommended.
