Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, a proven track record of working with Cucumber for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and familiarity with the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall quality of our software products by building and enhancing test automation frameworks, leading end-to-end testing efforts, and developing unit test cases.

Responsibilities

+ Test Automation Development: Create, develop, and maintain custom test automation frameworks in Java, using Cucumber for BDD.

+ Framework Enhancements: Modify and optimize existing automation frameworks to support new feature requirements and improve efficiency.

+ End-to-End Testing: Plan, execute, and automate end-to-end testing to ensure seamless functionality of software systems.

+ Unit Test Development: Collaborate with developers to write and maintain unit tests for new and existing features.

+ Integration with ELK Stack: Utilize ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to monitor and analyze test execution results, and support debugging efforts by capturing real-time application logs.

+ Collaborative Engineering: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to design test strategies and ensure robust test coverage.

+ Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by exploring cutting-edge testing tools and technologies to elevate the quality of the automation process.

+ Defect Tracking and Resolution: Identify, document, and assist the development team in resolving defects.

+ Agile Environment: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to support Agile development practices.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java, with proven experience in writing test scripts and automating test cases.

+ Cucumber Expertise: Hands-on experience implementing and executing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test frameworks using Cucumber.

+ Framework Development: Demonstrated ability to design, build, and enhance test automation frameworks from scratch as well as refactor or optimize existing frameworks.

+ End-to-End Testing: Extensive experience conducting comprehensive end-to-end tests, ensuring systems meet all functional and non-functional requirements.

+ Unit Testing: Solid background in writing unit tests (e.g., JUnit, TestNG) to enhance code reliability.

+ ELK Knowledge: Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana, particularly using ELK to capture and analyze test logs for debugging.

+ Version Control: Proficient in using source version control tools such as Git or GitHub.

+ CI/CD Tools: Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar.

+ Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Collaboration: Proven ability to thrive in a team environment, contributing to seamless collaboration across engineering and product teams.
