    Description We are looking for a dedicated Patient Account Representative to join our healthcare team in Edina, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care by managing account inquiries and supporting billing processes. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle both incoming and outgoing calls effectively.

    Responsibilities:

    • Respond to incoming calls from patients or parents regarding account balances and billing inquiries.

    • Make outgoing calls to patients or parents to discuss outstanding balances and resolve account issues.

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless handling of patient account concerns.

    • Utilize medical billing systems, including Epic Software and Cerner Technologies, to process claims and manage account records.

    • Ensure accurate documentation of patient account activity and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

    • Assist with appeals and benefit functions to resolve billing discrepancies.

    • Apply knowledge of clinical trial operations and claim administration to support patient accounts.

    • Train and guide new team members on billing functions and account management procedures.

    • Monitor account activity to identify trends and recommend process improvements.

    • Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate patient account resolutions. Requirements • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or medical billing environment.

    • Proficiency in medical billing systems such as Epic Software, Cerner Technologies, and Allscripts.

    • Strong knowledge of Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

    • Familiarity with appeals, benefits, and claim administration processes.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and team members.

    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling patient account data.

    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within a team-oriented structure.
