13207BRJob Description:United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for a Process Manager.
Responsibilities:
+ Supervise production workers in the performance of their duties safely.
+ Monitor all work activities and take corrective action to resolve problems in a timely manner.
+ Review candidates for employment, supervise the orientation and job training of new employees, and evaluate their progress.
+ Conduct pre-shift safety huddles at the start of shift.
+ Prepare work orders and notify maintenance of any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.
+ Ensure that parts are completed in accordance with production schedules and that workers are working to standard.
+ Maximum production is attained from direct labor utilized.
+ Quality standards are maintained, and scrap is minimized.
+ Positive labor-management relationship is maintained.
+ Maintain clean, orderly, safe work areas.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ At least one-year related experience
+ Experience working with wage employees is desirable
+ Mechanical experience dealing with threading and industrial machinery preferred
