Do you love the water and have a passion for helping others learn essential life skills? As a Private Swim Instructor at Logan Health Medical Fitness Center, you’ll guide students of all ages through safe, effective, and fun swim lessons — helping them gain confidence, build skills, and enjoy their time in the water!

Whether you’re working with beginners or helping seasoned swimmers refine their strokes, you’ll play a key role in supporting our commitment to water safety, personal growth, and community wellness.

What We’re Looking For:

+ A nationally recognized aquatic swim instructor certification required.

+ Minimum of 16 years of age.

+ Must complete LHMFC Swim Instructor training within 30 days of hire.

+ Heart Saver AED CPR preferred (or willing to obtain within 60 days).

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you’re approachable, encouraging, and know how to adapt your style to different audiences.

+ Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing:

+ Leading private swim lessons with enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism.

+ Using a variety of teaching methods — visual, verbal, and hands-on — to engage students of all learning styles.

+ Creating a safe, supportive environment that encourages skill progression and confidence.

+ Following lesson plans that reflect age-appropriate goals and swim techniques.

+ Maintaining strong class management, providing feedback, and keeping students focused and motivated.

+ Keeping the pool deck clean, organized, and alerting leadership of any maintenance or safety issues.

+ Performing lifesaving duties as needed and being familiar with emergency procedures.

+ Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.

+ Comfortable with computers and basic software (Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn additional programs).

Schedule: Part-time and flexible scheduling options available, based on client needs and instructor availability.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
