    Job Description

    Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Risk Management Consultant with our client in Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC.

     

    Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Consultant to join our Risk Management team. This individual will play a critical role in enhancing our risk governance framework by evaluating, testing, and improving key controls across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise risk management, strong analytical capabilities, and hands-on experience with control testing. Familiarity with GRC tools such as RSA Archer is highly desirable.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Evaluate and enhance existing risk management processes, with a focus on key risk and control frameworks.

    + Design, implement, and execute control testing strategies to assess the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.

    + Partner with business units to identify, assess, and document key controls across operational and regulatory risk areas.

    + Review and validate the design and performance of controls to ensure they are operating effectively.

    + Utilize RSA Archer (or similar GRC platforms) to document controls, findings, and track remediation efforts.

    + Provide expert insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support risk-informed decision-making.

    + Contribute to the development and refinement of risk management policies, procedures, and training.

    + Stay informed of industry best practices, regulatory expectations, and emerging risks.

    Qualifications:

    + 7+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, audit, or a related field within the financial services industry.

    + Proven expertise in control testing and assessment of key controls.

    + Strong understanding of risk frameworks

    + Prior experience working with RSA Archer or other GRC platforms is highly desirable.

    + Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functional teams.

    + Professional certifications such as CRMA, CIA, CISA, or similar are a plus.

     

    The base hourly range for this contract position is $50-$80 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
