The Amergis Division is currently hiring experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Psych Nurses for exciting opportunities at the Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo, CO .

Minimum Qualifications:

+ A minimum of 2 years of direct psychiatric nursing experience working with psych inmates and psych patients is required, MUST be clearly reflected on your resume.

Position Overview: The Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a psychiatric hospital setting or community-based mental health environment. The RN must demonstrate sound clinical judgment, work collaboratively with the care team, and operate under the supervision of a Registered Nurse leader.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Administer and manage medications, perform blood draws, conduct nursing assessments, and provide direct patient care in accordance with state regulations.

+ Accurately transcribe medication orders to the MAR, manage medication inventory, and maintain compliance in the Medication Room.

+ Monitor and record vital signs, perform blood draws, and complete all required documentation.

+ Collect and process urine samples as needed, ensuring adherence to nursing protocols.

+ Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with program-specific requirements.

Position Details:

+ Shifts: Day and Night shifts available

+ Weekly Hours: 48 hours

+ Start Dates: July 7, 2025, or July 21, 2025

+ Contract Duration: 26 weeks

+ Modality: RN – State Hospital

+ Specialty: Psychiatric – Forensic (All patients are court-ordered)

Scheduling Notes:

+ Block scheduling is provided in 8-week increments; specific days may vary month to month.

+ Overtime beyond 48 hours is not guaranteed .

Compensation Package:

+ Travel Pay: $40/hr × 40 hrs = $1,600/week

+ Overtime Pay: $84/hr × 8 hrs = $672/week

+ Meals & Incidentals: $400/week + $749/week = $1,149/week

+ Total Weekly Compensation: $3,421/week

Orientation Details:

+ The first two weeks consist of NEO Orientation ,

+ There is a separate Orientation Pay Package

+ Standard pay begins in Week 3 .
