Gordon Ford College of Business is pleased to announce we are accepting applicaiton for an Academic Advisor to joing our dynamic team. The following duties are customary for Academic Advisors, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
+ Advise students (current and transfer) for majors within the Gordon Ford College of Business
+ Support the advising policies and initiatives of the University and GFCB
+ Work with students, faculty, staff within the Gordon Ford College of Business and across campus as needed
+ Assist in advising for Topper Orientation Program (T.O.P.)
+ Advise students based on 5th week check-in assessment
+ Provide proactive advising, interventions, and referrals as necessary
+ Work with Career Coaches to help students create an academic/ career plan that ensures student success
+ Maintain advising records and databases
+ Meet with prospective students and their families
+ Attend and participate in other GFCB Student Success events as needed
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelors Degree
+ Experience providing academic assistance at the collegiate level
Additional Information:
Salary: $38,000
