Ascension Medical Group is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Ascension Medical Group Heart Rhythm Institute.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide cardiology electrophysiology services for patients at Ascension Heart Rhythm Institute in Roseville, Michigan and St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

Position Highlights:

+ Hours worked will vary based on location.

+ Works in conjunction with the physician (s) to provide a plan of care, management and treatment for cardiology patients.

+ Duties include new patient consults, ED consults, CVICU consults and coverage for known practice patient admissions at Ascension St. John Hospital. Includes independent clinic patient encounters for routine follow-up visits, acute visits, and hospital follow-ups at Roseville office.

+ Position entails rotating coverage at the ambulatory clinic practice in Roseville and hospital rounding at Ascension St. John Hospital with one other practice-based APP. May be asked to help cover at St. Clair Shores clinic practice and Ascension Macomb Hospital in Warren on occasion.

+ Educate patients and family members on cardiology testing and procedures.

+ Works independently to field and manage calls, questions and concerns of nursing support staff and other physicians related to the care of hospital admission patients.

+ Office ancillaries include EKG and device checks.

+ Room for growth and development in a more independent-practitioner care model.

Qualifications:

+ Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

+ Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

+ 1-2 years of prior experience in Cardiology Electrophysiology preferred.
