Caterpillar Inc. seeks Control Systems Engineer at its facility located at 2427 E Engine Dr, Chillicothe, IL 61523. Conceive and provide practical control system product design applications using complex technical principles. Create concepts and direct the design and development of complex engineering projects that provide superior integrated control system designs. Prepare concept, design, development, and feasibility studies of complex integrated control system engineering projects. Prepare development plans. Responsible for meeting scheduled dates. Develop Electromechanical Control Systems for energy management using quantitative methods to solve problems for internal and external Caterpillar customers through integrating mechanical and electronic components and systems through control algorithm implementation and optimization using data from sensors, on-board models, and product analytics. Direct and participate in the design and development of new Electromechanical Control Systems product concepts and complex engineering projects for release to production to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, digital connectivity, and serviceability. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of experience in control systems or related occupation. In the alternative the employer will also accept a master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of experience in control systems or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) MATLAB/Simulink; (2) Software development process; (3) Test planning; (4) J1939; (5) Vector Tools Canape/Canalyzer; and (6) Power Systems and system integration. Telecommuting: 2 days/week.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
