Maintenance Tech - Molding - 1st Shift

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Molding Maintenance Technician who is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of injection molding machines and associated equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operation. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, familiarity with molding equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Perform routine and emergency maintenance on injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and molds

+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues

+ Conduct mold changeovers and assist with mold installations and removals

+ Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and reports using CMMS or other tracking tools

+ Inspect machines and equipment regularly to ensure safe and optimal operation

+ Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to support startup, shutdown, and quality control activities

+ Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules

+ Identify and suggest opportunities for equipment and process improvements

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards

+ Adhere to company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ 3+ years of experience maintaining injection molding machinery in a manufacturing environment

+ Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills

+ Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals

+ Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

+ Basic computer skills: experience with CMMS software preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary Description

$26 - $36 per hour
