Please review the following job description:
Leads a team of platform engineers overseeing operational optimization and stability of existing applications in production and review of build out of new applications. Managing stakeholders within the delivery organization, shared services teams and external vendor partners. Involved in build out of new applications which are either home grown or SaaS applications. Overseeing upgrades for existing SaaS applications or Infrastructure upgrades for on-prem applications. Reviewing Infrastructure designs documents. Driving Tech Debt projects
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead, guide, educate, and provide thought leadership to our platform teams.
2. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
3. Provide technical and process guidance to junior team members and vendor resources.
4. Build and maintain the automation and streamlining of software delivery and operations for new or existing software applications through advanced proficiency and subject matter expertise in vendor tools in the DevOps lifecycle including:
a. Infrastructure as Code;
b. Agile and Development Lifecycle Management;
c. Source Code Management;
d. Build Orchestration;
e. Build Management;
f. Configuration Management;
g. Containers;
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science and ten+ years of experience in software engineering or IT including at least four years of experience in a role in which the primary responsibility is git based application code development and/or DevOps Engineering and/or the development, maintenance, and support of CI/CD pipelines or appropriate combination of industry related professional experience and education
2. Foundational cloud architecture knowledge
3. Strong hands on experience with Windows and Linux servers
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Overall experience of 14+ years of IT experience with hands on experience with infrastructure builds.
2. Experience in Agile Delivery Methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
3. Experience in System Builds, Server Builds, System Administration, Patching, Upgrades, Backup, Disaster Recovery, Migration, Security, Performance Monitoring, and Fine-tuning on UNIX (Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux & SUN Solaris) Systems.
4. Experience with AWS in managing enterprise scale solutions that leverage AWS services like EC2, SSM, EKS, S3, IAM, Route53, VPC, Autoscaling, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk.
5. Experience in using various network protocols like HTTP, UDP, POP, FTP, TCP/IP, and SMTP.
6. Experienced on containerization like Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes for CI/CD pipeline and workflow design.
7. Experience with installing, configuring, and supporting Red Hat OpenShift with Ansible and Terraform.
8. Proficient in setting up Jenkins and enabling CI/CD process using GitHub and Jenkins integration.
9. Experienced in High Availability (HA), Disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
10. Experience with Dynatrace and Splunk
11. Expert in Installing, configuring, and maintaining Apache/tomcat, samba & send mail, Web Sphere Application Servers.
12. Experience in installation and configuration of WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache, JBoss, I Planet, LDAP, and mail servers.
13. Experience supporting 24x7 production computing environments.
14. Experience providing on-call and weekend support
15. Familiarity or experience with Actimize, Fircosoft, Archer and SAS.
16. Strong stakeholder management skills.
17. Team management skills and vendor resource management experience (onshore and offshore).
Candidate must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office location four days a week.
