About the Role:
The Crane Service Wiring Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of crane systems within the durable goods manufacturing sector. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and control systems for various types of cranes. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Additionally, the role requires adherence to safety standards and regulations to protect both personnel and equipment. Ultimately, the technician's expertise will contribute to the overall reliability and performance of crane operations at Load King in Kansas City.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Completion of an electrical or wiring technician program.
+ Proven experience in electrical wiring and troubleshooting, preferably in an industrial setting.
+ Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certification in crane operation or maintenance.
+ Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
+ Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their electrical components.
+ Previous experience in the durable goods manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and control systems for cranes.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
+ Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on crane electrical systems.
+ Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
+ Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
