Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee and enhance our accounts payable operations in Melville, New York. This role requires an individual with expertise in full-cycle accounts payable processes and managerial skills. Responsibilities:
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, coding, and payment approvals.
• Oversee and mentor the accounts payable team, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews of account coding and data processing for accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and streamline financial operations.
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports to support decision-making and forecasting.
• Lead efforts to optimize the use of technology in accounts payable functions, including automation initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proficiency in full-cycle accounts payable processes, including accrual accounting.
• Demonstrated expertise in account coding, data processing, and financial auditing.
• Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and other electronic payment methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across department
