• Medical Lab Tech PRN

    LifePoint Health (Wytheville, VA)


    Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory. Uses laboratory information system to register patients, enter test orders, and report test results to providers.

    Reports to: Director of Laboratory

    *Minimum Education*

    Associate’s degree Required in Medical Technology or related science or have equivalent education and experience as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988.

    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must have knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to perform laboratory functions in the essential areas of chemistry, coagulation, hematology, immunology, microbiology, clinical microscopy and transfusion medicine.
