The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

For the convenience of our patients, we also host visiting physicians at our clinics in the areas of:

About the role
The Financial Clearance Representative interviews patients to collect and verify pertinent demographic and financial data prior to patient's scheduled day of service; secures required payment or makes necessary financial arrangements; ensures HIPAA standards are adhered to and followed in accordance with facility policy; and ensures compliance with government and NMHC procedures. The Financial Clearance Rep attends and assists in preparation and/or facilitation of mandatory monthly staff meetings, in-services and educational sessions.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma, GED or equivalent
+ Minimum of 2 years healthcare office experience, registration and supervision experience
+ Experience with Windows application systems and some Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
+ Professional demeanor and excellent public relations skills
+ Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively calm patients and be able to deal with distressed and/or agitated patients
+ Advanced medical terminology and health insurance.
