Job Summary
This position is for ONTAP Performance Labs which are a specialized, very high paced, constantly evolving environment. As a member of this team you are responsible for hardware implementation, OS implementation, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of Performance lab equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer needs, develop implementation plans, and execute on those plans.
Essential Functions
The Performance Lab team member is responsible for a wide range of functions and expertise. As a part of a team, you will help to ensure that team objectives, ticket SLAs, and project deadlines are met. The essential functions of the team include:
• Planning, designing, implementing, and leading hardware and software installation projects
• Analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging hardware & software.
• Identifying opportunities for automation within software processes.
• Designing and implementing automation to streamline the processes and enhance operational efficiency for labs.
• Ensuring client satisfaction and managing client relationships.
• Reporting to customers and management on status, resources needs, and projected outcomes.
Job Requirements
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other Performance Lab team members to support deadlines; ability to work independently as well.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a development environment.
• Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.
• Creative approach to problem solving.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines.
• Strong hardware installation and debugging skills
• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as python/shell-script etc.

+ Fiber Channel: Brocade (Preferred)
• Virtualization: (Preferred) - VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, KVM, Open Stack
• Scripting: (Preferred) - Perl, Python, Expect, Bash
• Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Atlassian Tools: JIRA, Confluence (Required)
Education
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree; or equivalent experience is required.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 108,800 - 162,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
