    Description

    Associated Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing fire alarm systems for commercial and residential buildings. As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting fire alarm systems that meet the requirements of local and national codes and standards.

    Essential Functions- include but are not limited to:

    + Design and draft fire alarm and suppression systems for commercial and residential buildings.

    + Ensure that all designs meet local and national codes and standards.

    + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.

    + Review and interpret project specifications and drawings.

    + Prepare and submit project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.

    + Knowledge and utilization of the AutoCAD system when designing projects.

    + Attend project meetings and provide technical support as needed.

    + Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in fire alarm system design.

    + Communicate effectively with customers as needed.

    + Communicate effectively and work effectively with coworkers.

    + Keep appointments and show up to work on time.

    + Attitude and actions are in line with company’s mission statement, vision and values.

    Requirements

    Additional Requirements & Skills

     

    + Employee will have access to considerable internal and external contacts, and the company’s confidential information. Employee must display qualities and characteristics of a trustworthy employee, included, but not limited to, independent judgement and initiative.

    + Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.

    + 2-5 years of experience with fire alarm design experience is preferred.

    + Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.

    + Proficient in Microsoft office suite is required

    + Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines is required.

    + Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

    Salary Description

    $80K- $120K
