The Mechanical Engineering Intern position is a 3 month temporary assignment. Intern will be responsible for learning and growing in the Project Engineering and the Maintenance Engineering functions. Project Engineering involves objectives development, project scope creation, getting equipment, materials, and installation quotes, preparing proposals (capital and expense), scheduling and implementing work, commissioning, startup, training, and close out. Maintenance Engineering involves investigating and problem-solving plant reliability issues utilizing continuous improvement techniques and principles. This position will also support maintenance teams in the rationalization, planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to drive improved sustainable plant reliability in a manner consistent with CertainTeed Gypsum’s Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives (VMVO).Our mission is to transform the world into a better, more sustainable home through an ever-evolving range of groundbreaking building solutions.
