    About the role

     

    Responsible for shaping our brand’s visual expression by creating and producing innovative designs that enhance the experience of our brand through marketing, corporate communications, and user experience. Involves close collaboration with various creative, marketing, communications, and internal department teams with strict adherence to brand guidelines while producing high-quality artwork. Additional responsibilities include developing creative solutions for brand development, designing communication materials like brochureware, presentations and infographics, managing the design production process from concept to delivery, and staying current with industry trends and tools.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Ideation, concept, and execution:

    + Develop and execute design concepts for various projects including print marketing materials, packaging, social, digital, event materials.

    + Create and edit iconography, infographics, illustrations, photography, and other designs assets.

    + Design with a focus on clean typography, layout, and color theory.

    Production:

    + Manage the design production process from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality output that meets project specifications and timelines.

    + Contribute to streamlining internal processes and production requirements without compromising quality.

    + Set up files, utilize standardized templates, apply revisions, maintain versioning, and oversee pre- and post-production needs.

    Collaboration and communication:

    + Work closely with the creative, marketing, product, and other internal teams to translate business objectives into compelling visual designs while adhering to brand guidelines.

    Problem-solving and self-development:

    + Maintain a learning mindset to become proficient with industry trends, tools, and technologies to keep our designs fresh and innovative.

    + Other duties as needed/assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.

    + 3 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skill in brand development, layout, and communication design; or 5+ years of relevant experience.

    + Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office suite and other relevant tools.

    + Adaptable to new technology and platforms.

    + Excellent typography and layout skills with a keen eye for detail.

    + Strong understanding of production processes for both print and digital formats.

    + Strong critical thinking skills

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions with key stakeholders.

    + Efficient, organized, collaborative and coachable with a willingness to accept feedback and iterate.

    + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines.

    Preferred:

    + Experience using a DAM (Digital Asset Management tool) and project management software.

    + Experience in motion graphics and web design.

    The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):

    $61,412.00 - $102,353.00 per year

     

    The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus. We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive salary within the market.
