Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting operations and financial processes for our organization based in Dalhart, Texas. This role involves managing month-end closings, preparing detailed financial statements, and collaborating closely with ownership on budgeting and forecasting initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a family-oriented work environment and bring expertise in accounting systems and software.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Perform month-end closings and prepare comprehensive financial statements.

• Collaborate with ownership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.

• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and monitor accounting records.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable.

• Conduct audits to verify financial data and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Lead the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and systems.

• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to address financial inquiries and provide insights.

• Train and mentor office staff on accounting practices and software tools.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends to provide informed financial recommendations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software systems.

• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general auditing processes.

• Strong analytical and budgeting skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, suited for a family-oriented environment.

• Industry experience in agriculture is preferred but not required.

• Certification in accounting or finance (such as CPA) is a plus.
