    Routinely serving over 2000 J.D. students in hundreds of courses, the Program Coordinator for the Experiential Education Office is a key member of Georgetown Law's nationally recognized experiential education team. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, this position assists the Assistant Dean and the Senior Director in the administration of non-clinical experiential learning courses, including the J.D. Externship Program (https://www.law.georgetown.edu/experiential-learning/externships/for-j-d-students/) , simulation courses (https://www.law.georgetown.edu/experiential-learning/simulations/) (including compressed, weekend simulations and January’s Week One (https://www.law.georgetown.edu/experiential-learning/simulations/first-year-week-one-simulations/) ) and practicum courses (https://www.law.georgetown.edu/experiential-learning/practicum-courses/) (fieldwork and project-based). This position is ideal for a recent college graduate or early-career professional with strong organizational skills who might be interested in pursuing a public interest career. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

     

    + Play a critical role in supporting all the Office's initiatives, including effective, timely, professional collaboration with students, faculty and staff on all non-clinical experiential learning courses and programming.

    + Manage the Office’s frequent communications, maintaining the website and online materials.

    + Process payments and transactions related to the program, assisting the Assistant Dean in monitoring the budget.

    + Identify opportunities for professional development and/or leadership within the University community.

     

    Work Interactions

     

    The Program Coordinator for the Experiential Education Office reports to the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education and works closely with the Senior Director for Experiential Education. This position also requires the candidate to interact frequently with the Office’s many partner offices, including the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Public Interest and Community Services, the Office of Career Strategy, and the Office of the Dean of Students, Office of Graduate and International Programs, the Law Center’s Centers & Institutes, and Information Systems Technology.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree; Two years of experience preferred

    + Familiarity with Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets and Slides; Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and WordPress. Experience with Canvas, Box or similar platforms is a plus

    + Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to focus on detail

    + Ability to problem solve, take initiative and quickly adapt to changing circumstances

    + Ability to identify and manage priorities

    + Ability to work with a diverse range of people and circumstances

    + Demonstrated emotional maturity and the ability to exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, high-profile environment

     

    Work Mode Designation

     

    This position has been designated as Hybrid 2 Days. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.     Pay Range:

    The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

    $20.16 - $31.30

     

    Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
