Requirements
The Tampa office of Kubicki Draper is currently seeking an Appellate Associate with two plus years of experience. Recent law school graduates with Moot Court or Law Review experience will be considered. This is an opportunity to work closely with two practiced appellate attorneys who are expanding their team. The position requires working in the Tampa office five days a week..
Qualifications:
+ Stellar academic credentials
+ Strong legal research and excellent writing skills, as well as possess strong/persuasive oral advocacy
+ Judicial Clerkship Preferred
+ Prior Appellate or Insurance Coverage Experience Preferred
+ Desire to excel and work your way up the ranks of the law firm
+ Ability to provide excellent customer service to our clients, with a client first mindset
+ Highly organized, with clear and concise communication style
+ Must be a self-starter and goal-oriented with a focus on long-term career goals
+ Proficient in Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Westlaw online research
+ Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Complex Research and Analysis on Civil Law
+ Draft/Edit Appellate Briefs
+ Draft/review various pleadings, motions and responses
+ Insurance Coverage Analysis
