The Philosophy Department in the College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University seeks a part-time instructor of Philosophy to teach an online section of PHI 107, Theories of Knowledge and Reality, a 3 credit course, during Fall Semester 2025.

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department. All positions and offers are subject to funding availability and enrollment.

Course Description: An introduction to major questions about knowledge and reality, such as the existence of God, the mind-body problem, free will and the nature and limits of knowledge. Historical and contemporary readings.

This is an asynchronous course that is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible.
