    The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Syracuse University is seeking a Part-time Instructor to teach one 4-credit section(s) of Arabic I (ARB 101) and/or Arabic III (ARB 201) in the fall 2025 semester, which begins on August 25, 2025 (appointment begins on August 18, 2025). Offer is contingent upon sufficient enrollment.

     

    Arabic I (ARB 101); 4 credits

     

    Introductory proficiency-based course which prepares students to understand, speak, read, and write in culturally authentic contexts. Activities are conducted in Arabic.

     

    Arabic III (ARB 201); 4 credits

     

    Continuing proficiency-based course which refines and expands previously acquired linguistic skills in culturally authentic contexts. Activities are conducted in Arabic.

     

    The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per credit rate history within the hiring department.
