Full-Time | Consultant (12 Months) | Onsite | Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO

**Pay Rate:** $75-78/hr.

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens.

Build the Brains Behind Missile Defense

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared **Software Engineer – Developer** to support the development of mission-critical systems for the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Join a team at the forefront of aerospace innovation, where your code contributes directly to national security and global stability.

What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer on this elite team, you will:

+ Design and develop Java-based mathematical algorithms for command and control systems

+ Support the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and issue resolution

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

+ Participate in software architecture and requirements development

+ Contribute to integration and test planning, execution, and documentation

+ Work 100% onsite in a secure, collaborative setting

+ Travel domestically up to 10% as needed

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

+ 9+ years of engineering experience (or 7+ with a Master’s, 4+ with a PhD)

+ Proficiency in Java or Java Spring

+ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

+ Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience developing complex mathematical algorithms (e.g., tracking, guidance, radar management)

+ Ability to translate MATLAB-based algorithms into Java

+ Background in aerospace or defense software systems

**Pay Details:** $75.00 to $78.00 per hour
