Job Title: Inventory Support

Job Location: Melville, NY

Salary: $27.00-$31.00/hr

Receives, places into stock, and issues material and supplies upon appropriate notification. Assists in the maintenance of a perpetual inventory of stock.

Responsibilities

+ Supervises Inevnetory Support department.

+ Receives and places into stock all material turned over from the Receiving Department.

+ Checks goods received against bills of lading, purchase orders, or other documents.

+ Records all stock, either on appropriate recording forms or on computerized data base.

+ Sorts, counts, and checks raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts, and kits parts.

+ Disburses material upon presentation of properly executed stock requisition.

+ Deducts material sent out from total on hand in stock.

+ Always knows the location of material within stock room.

+ Assists in the maintenance of a perpetual inventory.

+ Notifies supervisor when a certain reorder point is reached.

+ Maintains a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience or assocaites degree with 6 years related experience.

+ Legible handwriting and basic math abilities

+ Excellent communications skills, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

+ Microsoft Office proficiency
