• Senior Construction Inspector

    This Opportunity

     

    WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Part-time Senior Construction Inspector** for our **Salt Lake City** office for projects based in St. George and focused on Southern Utah UDOT Region 4. Be involved in projects with our **Construction Management Team** and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

    Your Impact

    + Read and interpret project plans and specifications

    + Monitor construction for compliance with project documents

    + Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures

    + Prepare daily work reports; prepare and maintain documentation of contractor work performed, materials testing and traffic control based on construction plans and specifications; using Masterworks, spreadsheets, and other electronic or manual means

    + Inspect road and bridge construction (based on UDOT Standards)

    + For senior inspector positions, ability to supervise 1-2 people and experience with UDOT documentation

    + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

     

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    + High School Diploma and a minimum of 11 years of construction experience

    + Experience on roadway construction projects

    + Valid Utah driver’s license.

    + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bituminous Paving Experience

    + Concrete Paving Experience

    + Direct experience working for UDOT or another firm with UDOT exposure

    + UDOT Masterworks Trained

    + UDOT CITP Level III

    + ATTSA Traffic Control Certification, Sampling Reduction & Density (SRDTT), Moisture/Density Gauge Certification, ACI or CTT Concrete Certification or the ability to become certificated within 1 month of hire
