Department:** **Intermediate Stepdown Unit - Med/Surg (4 South)
_4 South is a 36-bed medical intermediate/step down unit that cares for adult and geriatric populations of patients who have a multitude of medical diagnoses. We specialize in peritoneal dialysis and respiratory illness. Other common patient diagnosis include, but are not limited to, Heart Failure, Non ST Elevation MI, End Stage Renal Disease, Sepsis, COPD, and Respiratory Failure. 4 south is a telemetry monitored unit. We also offer virtual nursing and camera monitoring in all rooms._
**Location:** Trinity Health Oakland, Pontiac, MI
Minimum rate of pay** : $34.77(as licensed RN) - **PLUS DailyPAY
Position Purpose
The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment at Trinity Health to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team supplying evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. Nurses are expected to ease all aspects of the patient visit experience.
**Shifts Available:** 7:00am - 7:30pm
**Status available:** Full-time, every third weekend
Required Qualifications:
Education
+ Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.
+ BSN preferred or must agree in writing to obtain BSN within 5 years.
Licensure
+ Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
+ BLS.
+ ACLS required for the following departments : Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency

What you will do:
• Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse handles assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and changing the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient care procedures specific to their ability.
• RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to conduct patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated period.
• The RN supplies care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
• Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults) as named in Performance
