7:00am-3:00pm, + every other weekend

At the Heartwood Lodge, we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and caring home for our residents. Our team values dignity, respect, and compassion in everything we do. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated **Floor Care Technician (Janitorial)** to help maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and polishing.

+ Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and extraction as needed.

+ Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, and auto scrubbers.

+ Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

+ Ensure hallways, dining areas, resident rooms, and common areas meet cleanliness and infection control standards.

+ Assist housekeeping staff with general cleaning tasks as needed.

+ Monitor and report any floor damage, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the supervisor.

+ Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and request replacements when necessary.

+ Adhere to all facility policies, health and safety guidelines, and state and federal regulations.

+ Clean and sanitize public bathrooms, common areas, rehab gym, and offices.

+ Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.

+ Remove trash and replace liners.

+ Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

+ Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ Previous experience in floor care or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred.

+ Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred.

+ Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

+ Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate heavy cleaning equipment for extended periods.

+ Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
