• Firmware Engineer

    Job Description

    An employer is looking for a Firmware Engineer. The ideal individual for this role is passionate about working at the intersection of hardware and software and want to contribute to automated testing and continuous integration improvements, as well as dashboard development to monitor firmware health projects. This person will be focused on diving into the shared firmware code and debugging issues. They will be testing at all levels, including unit testing and integration testing. This team is focused on increasing the reliability of Smartglasses firmware and increasing developer velocity by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their automated testing suite.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years experience in firmware engineering

     

    Proficient in C/C+Proficient in Python

     

    Deep understanding of testing strategies and test development for embedded devices

     

    Deep understanding of debugging embedded firmware code

     

    Experience working with low level sensors and power systems Prior experience defining/executing a test strategy for a consumer embedded device

     

    Experience with CI tooling

     

    Experience with Jest end-to-end testing

    Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering null
