Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Category Manager to oversee our mobile devices and accessories portfolio. This role will focus on managing relationships with major OEMs like Apple and Samsung, while also driving expansion into additional device brands. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale retail spend and a deep understanding of mobile device ecosystems. This is a contract role with the likely potential to convert to full-time in mid-December.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the mobile device and accessories category, including procurement, vendor relationships, and lifecycle planning.

Oversee a category spend of approximately $150 million, ensuring cost efficiency and strategic growth.

Lead expansion efforts beyond Apple and Samsung to include additional OEMs and emerging brands.

Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform assortment strategy and pricing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, supply chain, and finance.

Track and report on category performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

Ensure alignment with retail goals and customer experience standards.

Work Environment:

On-site, 5 days per week

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar strategic sourcing or merchandising role.

Deep knowledge of mobile devices and accessories, particularly Apple and Samsung.

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Experience managing large budgets and vendor relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with additional mobile OEMs (e.g., Google, OnePlus, Motorola, etc.).

Background in retail, consumer electronics, or telecom industries.

Familiarity with retail analytics tools and procurement platforms. null
