Job Description

- Our client is seeking DevOps Engineers to support their Research Suite application that is currently in a single tenant environment. The team is modernizing the platform to become a multi-tenant SaaS solution and phase out single, independent installs.

- The environment consists of Azure DevOps for build/release and pipelines, and AWS for infrastructure and all other services.

- This person will play a pivotal role in optimizing the development and deployment processes. As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, streamline workflows, and improve the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

- Day to day activities will include:

o Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.

o Develop automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring of AWS resources.

o Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps.

o Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

o Monitor and optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.

o Utilize automation and configuration tools such as Ansible and Puppet.

o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure and deployments.

o Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are designed for optimal deployment and scalability in AWS.

o Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery in AWS environments.

o Stay current with AWS services, tools, and best practices, and recommend improvements to our infrastructure and processes.

o Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for production incidents when necessary.

Skills and Requirements

- 7+ years of DevOps experience

- Azure DevOps

- AWS cloud infrastructure

- PowerShell

- Ability to work standard IST hours, with a daily handoff call at 8:30pm IST - Python

- Terraform and/or CloudFormation

- Docker

- Splunk/CloudWatch null
