    Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a **Manager, DevOps 1** to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals within the **Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD)** in the **Software Digital Transformation** organization. This position will be based in **Dulles, VA.**

    Us:

    The **Tactical Space** organization is focused on supporting Agile and DevOps transformation throughout the division. The team consists of multiple Agile and DevOps SMEs dedicated to supporting organizational and programmatic change, as well as being the functional home room for Agile and DevOps engineers.

    Role:

    In this role, you will be responsible for the functional management of a small and growing team of DevOps Engineer specialties (Site Reliability Engineers, Automation Engineers, Developers, Cyber Engineers, System Administrators, etc.) assigned to programs within Tactical Space Systems Division.

    Management duties include:

    + Conducting performance assessments and employee development

    + Staffing

    + Communication meetings

    + Compensation adjustments

    + Training, educational oversight, and approval

    + Routine personnel issues

     

    Management duties are expected to constitute 15% of your time, with the remaining 85% spent on other technical activities. These other technical activities may include DevOps Support, Project Management Support, or direct program support depending on your skills and organizational need.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in STEM field with 9 years of experience (or 7 years of experience w/ a Masters, or 4 years w/ a PhD). Experience can be considered in lieu of degree

    + Experience with transitioning teams to DevOps practices and activities

    + Experience with Agile Development or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

    + Interest in functional management responsibilities

    + Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience participating in or implementing Program Increment activities

    + Experience managing and executing various kinds of projects and products

    Salary Range: $129,900.00 - $184,900.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
