We are seeking either a Principal Containerization Software Engineer or Senior Principal Containerization Software Engineer to join our talented NGP Ground team. This position can be located in Redondo Beach or Azusa, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the full software life cycle, Agile development frameworks, and be proficient in various programming languages and tools. This role requires interfacing with multifaceted teams to interpret and troubleshoot issues, ensuring smooth operation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

_This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below._

Basic Qualifications:

+ **Principal Containerization Software Engineer:** 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

+ **Senior Principal Containerization Software Engineer** **:** 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

+ Active DoD Secret Clearance required at the time of application

+ Experience with full software life cycle (requirement, design, code, test, integration), SW builds, programming standards and practices

+ Experience in an Agile software development framework

+ Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence)

+ Source code management using Git/Bitbucket

+ Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline

+ Ability to interface with multifaceted teams, interpreting and troubleshooting issues

+ Proficiency in languages: C/C++, Python, XML, JSON

+ Familiarity with OS: Red Hat Linux

+ Familiarity with Docker/Podman containers

+ Familiarity with container orchestrator (Kubernetes)

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Expert level experience in Red Hat Linux environment

+ Expert level experience in Docker and Kubernetes application

Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
