As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the utility location.

+ Document observations and incidents according to site protocols.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ A valid Armed Guard Card or License is required for armed positions.

+ A valid Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.

+ Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.

+ A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal Security will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
