Description We are looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join our legal team in San Francisco, California. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on complex construction projects, government contracts, and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and risk management, along with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Responsibilities:

• Handle legal matters involving commercial construction projects, government contracts, and complex construction disputes.

• Draft, negotiate, and oversee the administration of contracts for owners, contractors, designers, and other professionals.

• Provide legal guidance on procurement issues, risk management, and dispute avoidance strategies.

• Manage claims documentation, equitable adjustments, and resolution of impact and delay claims.

• Address construction and design defect disputes and extra work/change order conflicts.

• Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and bid protests.

• Collaborate with clients on legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes in disputes.

• Utilize legal software tools, including case management systems and LexisNexis, to streamline research and case preparation.

• Ensure compliance with California legal standards and regulations.

• Support clients in navigating complex legal challenges while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Requirements • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Minimum of two years of experience in civil litigation or construction law.

• Active membership with the California Bar Association.

• Proficiency in legal software tools such as LexisNexis and case management systems.

• Strong knowledge of contract administration, claim handling, and dispute resolution.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex documentation and draft comprehensive legal briefs.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Familiarity with government contracts and procurement-related legal issues.
