SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the RGH Perioperative Services Leadership Team, assist in implementing strategies to improve services and operating methods related to OR and Procedural charge capture, coding, billing, and compliance. The role of the Billing & Compliance Specialist will be to assist in ensuring accurate and timely billing information for reimbursement and implant documentation purposes. Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize system resources to resolve issues, post cases, and prepare reports is required. Team member must possess critical thinking skills and have the ability to effectively communicate.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday Days
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Reviews and posts all OR and GI case cost charges. Review of all implants, stents, OR and recovery log times. Corrects as appropriate.
+ Collaborates with the OR Clinical Leaders, Purchasing, Revenue integrity, and Supply Chain to validate item details, costs, and quantity used
+ Enters bill-only requisitions for specialty consignment items, working with OR clinical staff and vendor representatives to ensure accuracy.
+ Enters all manual OR charges for items not documented in the EMR
+ Manages EPIC work que for OR, PACU, and GI, reviewing charges, checking verifying cost of all high cost/volume products, and approves or corrects as needed.
+ Acts as a Workday resource/content expert for clinical staff and perioperative leaders responsible for creating requisitions and bill only charges.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Associates Degree preferred
+ Previous billing and third party payor experience preferred
+ Perioperative/procedural office experience with applications and procedures preferred

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
