    Charge RN – Maternal/Newborn

    PRN

    _We’re looking for qualified R_ _egistered Nurse like you to join our department in a Charge Nurse role_

    • **Work location:** Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

    • The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a **MAGNET** , and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and **Maternal Level IV designated facility**

    **Work hours:** PRN, On an as needed basis, 6:30PM-7AM with weekend and holiday coverage

    Maternal/Newborn, Couplet Care Department highlights:

    • Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

    • Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

    • 27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit

    • Average between 275 to 300 deliveries per month

    • Utilize the following skills: Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care)

    Here’s What You Need

    • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program **OR** Nursing Diploma

    • Bachelor’s degree Nursing (BSN) preferred

    • One-year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) in an acute care setting required.

    • 2-years’ experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

    • 2-years current Maternal/Newborn RN experience strongly preferred

    • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

    • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred

    • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

    * directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
