POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Integration Team Lead at Menards you will have the opportunity to oversee a team that works with a variety of technologies such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel, and more to design, develop, and maintain integration capabilities across our enterprise application portfolio. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where quality and guest satisfaction are paramount. This position will have the chance to work across teams, establish and drive IS team standards, and develop the foundational frameworks that are utilized within Menards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Resource Management:
+ Perform project-based performance reviews within two weeks of project completion
+ Ensure that Team Members are trained in all application areas for which the team is responsible
+ Supervise, mentor and train Team Members to ensure that job requirements are being completed
+ Develop training plans for Team Members
Project Management:
+ Ensure projects are correctly planned according to established methodologies and standards
+ Develop requirements for projects and review with Users to ensure that the project meets current needs
+ Ensure the project plan is followed and is continually updated to ensure customer requirements are met
+ Coordinate project management for Team Members and as directed for specific projects
+ Maintain contact with users, department managers and directors and upper-level management personnel
Project Standards and Procedures:
+ Enforce all Corporate Standards and IS Systems Standards to develop and support projects
+ Coach and teach staff in proper use, continuous improvement, and ongoing implementation of IS Standards
+ Responsible for quality assurance of projects and project assignments
Production Issues:
+ Identify problem trends pro-actively
+ Develop and execute action plans
+ Follow established processes for problem handling or resolution
Development & Support:
+ Maintain an in-depth knowledge of User’s operations to facilitate communication regarding User’s requirements
+ Meet with Users to evaluate customer satisfaction
+ Ensure Service Level Agreements are met
+ Analyze user enhancement and maintenance requests, determine priorities and possible solutions
+ Actively participate in developing program specifications, code review, and implementing program changes
+ Coordinate system installation with operations and applicable departments
Skills/Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
+ Associate or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field
+ 5+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle experience
+ 5+ years of experience in Java-based integration development including Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs
+ Experience with automated back-end testing frameworks and or tools
+ Experience designing secure applications for scalability and high concurrent performance
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
+ Excellent analytical skills for problem determination and resolution
+ Solid knowledge of Oracle, SQL, or object relational database design concepts and practices
+ Firm understanding of development tools, automated build processes, and source control

+ Must work within designated normal office hours at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
