Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Environmental Services which may include general cleaning, floor maintenance and laundry functions.

Essential Functions

+ Supervising Environmental Services employees. Interviewing, selecting and training new employees. Monitoring current employees and providing ongoing training, coaching and performance management.

+ Participating in the development and implementation of department wide projects and programs. Responding to customer concerns/compliments.

+ Controlling operating expenses. Adjusting staffing levels based on fluctuating workloads.

+ Developing and maintaining employee performance standards to achieve desired quality results through daily rounding in areas of responsibility and performing required audits. Evaluating employee performance.

+ Utilizing the Beaumont Standards and effective communication skills to incorporate specific age, cultural or developmental needs.

+ Maintaining and/or improving employee engagement through rounding, recognition, team building and meeting.

+ Participation in department and hospital committees.

+ Developing programs/practices, which ensure correct/safe care and usage of chemical products and equipment.

+ Evaluation of new and existing products and equipment.

Qualifications

+ Required High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Preferred Associate's Degree

+ 3 years of relevant experience Healthcare, environmental services, and/or customer service Required

+ 2 years of relevant experience Leadership Preferred

+ Knowledge of hospital procedures and practices Preferred
