UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for Neurosurgery APP to join our team in Dubuque, IA

+ Strong Physician support

+ Current team consists of 1 Neurosurgeon and 1 PA

+ Full-time position with opportunity to work in both the inpatient and outpatient setting

+ Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

+ Average of 10-15 patients per day on the outpatient side; 3-5 when on inpatient service

+ Clinic hours: Monday through Friday 8a-5p

+ Some backup call and weekend rounding may be required once fully trained

+ Practice is a mix of inpatient and outpatient

+ Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

+ APP will also assist Physician in the OR

+ Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

+ Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

+ Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

+ Physician Assistant (Preferred) or Nurse Practitioner with OR experience

+ Board Certified

+ Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of IA

+ Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice

+ Eligible to work in the United States
