    + Provide TeleHospitalist coverage at multiple UnityPoint hospitals

    + Position is employed with UnityPoint Clinic

    + PRN schedule including nights, weekends, and Holidays

    + 12-hour shifts

    + Self-scheduling

    + Response time within 30 minutes

    + Utilize Vidyo Telehealth

    + Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

    Responsibilities

    + Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

    + Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

    + Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered.

    + Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families.

    + Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed.

    + Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc.

    Qualifications

    + MD or DO

    + Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

    + Requires 1 year of bedside clinical experience as a Hospitalist

    + Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in your state of residency, AND IA, IL and WI

    + Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice

    + Credentialed at all UPH hospitals staffed by a TeleHospitalist

    + Unemployable states: NY, CA, OR, VT, WA, DC
