We’re looking for someone who is focused on managing the financial aspects of a group of television stations, including budgeting, reporting and accounting. If you are the kind of person who has strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills, then this position might be for you.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting, comfort with Excel and Microsoft tools, and the ability to wear many hats—sometimes all at once. You’ll help us keep things running behind the scenes, stay on top of month-end close, and serve as a key support for our team and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist in the month-end close process and support basic accounting functions

+ Assist leadership with routine financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting

+ Ensure adherence to company policies, federal compliance procedures, and accounting standards

+ Create and maintain Excel reports (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, etc.)

+ Support operations and business managers by staying organized and responsive

+ Identify process improvements and be resourceful in solving unexpected challenges

+ Help enforce company rules, policies, and professional standards

+ Communicate updates, even tough ones, in a clear and company-positive tone

+ Maintain a calm, professional demeanor—even when “wrenches” get thrown into your day

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with honesty, professionalism, and zero gossip

+ Work independently with self-discipline while being a reliable team player

+ Meet deadlines consistently and manage multiple priorities

+ Flexibility to drive efficiency and process improvement

+ Ad-hoc reporting for management

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in related field(s)

+ 2+ years of accounting experience preferred (GAAP knowledge a plus)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (this is a must, not a learning opportunity)

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Prior experience with Broadcast or Oracle is a plus!

+ Friendly, approachable personality without the need to be a “bubbly” extrovert

+ Willingness to work overtime when necessary

+ Professional, adaptable, and open to change

The base salary compensation range for this role is $75,400 to $95,400. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
